Tachovien - The stone cutters.
|
|
Description: A stone cutter tool fashioned in silex with saw forming the blade. There are visible marks of knapping. The handhold is shaped anatomically. The thumb fits in the lateral groove. The forefinger is stabilized behind the fore obliquity and the palm touches the back obliquity. This is an example of the classic shaping of the upper comb of the tool. It ensures the perfect stability of the tool even in very dirty and greasy hands of a prehistoric butcher or tanner.
